
FFDA has been implementing the Early Childhood Development or Pre-Primary education program with the financial and Technical support by USA based donor. The main purpose of the program is to ensure education for the children fewer than 6 and providing early childhood education. Children are getting education on reading, writing and calculating through game, amusement and drawing.
It needs to add here that in the working area still there exist a lot of children never go to school or they are under aged need to start education but they are not getting chance for education. The parents and guardians of the children are not aware enough to send their children to school. Among the children some of them play all day long on the way. During the discussion with the children, it is revealed that they are very enthusiastic to go to school but their parent and guardians do not permit them to go school. The organization identifies the children, determined to select those children for providing education through motivating their parents with a view to make them prepared to admit in formal school. During the year, FFDA established only 8 education center and provided education to the children. It has already been mentioned that the key objective of the program is to Pre-Primary Education. The project has been providing education to the children to improve their literacy knowledge, understanding and skills on reading, writing, drawing and calculating through education, mental growth.
Types of Education providing by FFDA are as follows:
Pre-Primary Education: Here the organization providing the children on pre-primary education and makes them capable to class one and after completion of education staff of the organization ensures admission to formal or informal primary school.
Class I (one) to Class 5 Coaching: Here the organization providing coaching to the children on class one to class five free of cost.
FFDA used the non-formal education materials for the pre-primary children and formal education materials for the class one student. At the beginning of the year the teachers prepare the session plan and on the basis of the session plan provide education to the children. The education proved very much effective for education of the children and they need not study at the residence.
Impact: As a result of the program, the community people including the slum dwellers specially the parents and guardians become motivated to send their children to school and agreed to provide higher education. Just after completion of education most of the children admitted in different non-formal and formal school continuing their education and doing. The students admitted in other school previously are doing well as reported by the teachers of the primary school.
